Chuck Pratt, Royal Robbins, and Joe Fitschen organize themselves at Dolt Tower. This was the beginning of the third day in our attempt to reclimb Warren Harding’s ‘the Nose route’ that he, Wayne Merry, and George Whitmore had completed two years earlier.

Chuck, having the stronger connection with Mother Earth, often fixed his attention upward in anticipation of enjoying unexplored terrain ahead.
